Reticulum III

Reticulum III

Reticulum III is an ultra-faint dwarf galaxy that orbits the Milky Way. Discovered relatively recently in data from the Dark Energy Survey (DES) in 2015, Reticulum III is located in the southern celestial hemisphere, specifically in the constellation Reticulum. It is characterized by its extremely low luminosity and small size, making it a challenging object to study. The galaxy's distance from Earth is estimated to be about 92,000 light-years.
