Tucana V

Tucana V is another addition to the Tucana group, positioned at a heliocentric distance of 55 kpc, making it the closest to the group's centroid (3 kpc). Located 29 kpc from the LMC and 14 kpc from the SMC, it features a size of 17 pc and a luminosity of MV ∼ −1.6 mag, placing it in a region akin to Segue 1, Willman 1, and Kim 2 on the size-luminosity plane. With a high ellipticity, Tucana V supports a galactic classification. Most high probability member stars are on the main sequence, fainter than g ∼ 22.5 mag, with a few stars near the lower RGB also likely members. Tucana V's detectability in surveys is notable due to the data's ability to constrain ellipticity, distinguishing it from similar faint objects detectable in surveys with a threshold at r < 22.
