5535 Annefrank

As of my last knowledge update in January 2022, asteroid 5535 Annefrank is a celestial object in the asteroid belt located between Mars and Jupiter. Discovered on March 23, 1942, by the Dutch astronomer Ingrid van Houten-Groeneveld at the Palomar Observatory in California, it was named in honor of Anne Frank. The Stardust space probe performed a flyby on Annefrank for target practice, revealing the overall shape of the asteroid.
