Asteroid 94 Aurora, discovered on September 6, 1867, by the American astronomer James Craig Watson, is a significant member of the asteroid belt situated between Mars and Jupiter. Named after Aurora, the Roman goddess of dawn, this asteroid has an estimated diameter of approximately 112 kilometers (70 miles). Aurora orbits the Sun at an average distance of about 361 million kilometers (224 million miles), completing its orbit in approximately 4.8 Earth years.
