Laomedeia

Laomedeia

Laomedeia was discovered in 2002 through observations conducted using the Subaru telescope in Hawaii. Named after a sea nymph in Greek mythology, Laomedeia orbits Neptune at an average distance of approximately 23.2 million kilometers from the planet's center, following an eccentric and inclined trajectory characteristic of Neptune's outer moons. Its orbit is influenced by gravitational interactions with Neptune's larger moon, Nereid, and other outer moons.
